In 1979, The String & Horn Shop opened its doors on Historic Main Street in Bryan, Texas. What started as a modest storefront has grown into the largest independent, family-owned music store in the Brazos Valley—but our mission has never changed.
For over four decades, we've been the first call for parents looking for their child's first rental, the trusted partner for band directors preparing for marching season, and the go-to shop for musicians who need expert repairs on instruments that matter to them.

Our repair technicians bring over 100 years of combined experience. And we've expanded our reach beyond Bryan and College Station to serve musicians across Austin, Houston, and beyond.
